If you share our motivations and passion in research, come join us! Primary Purpose Please note: This is not a Clinical Project Management position. The Associate Project Manager will assist in the management of several key project Knowledge Areas spanning all phases of the project, supporting Clinical Research/Project teams.
Responsibilities

Essential Functions - Project

  • Incorporate best practices for the day-to-day management and integration of Knowledge Areas, for multiple small to moderate sized workstreams and studies
  • Assists in the coordination and direction of cross-functional team members, clients and partners, including project conference calls, meeting minutes and follow-up of action items
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project and study timelines to ensure all project deliverables per the contract
  • Application of Waterfall methodology, Rolling-Wave Planning and Scenario Analysis
  • Assist to ensure effective budget management, exhibiting close control of spend and accurate forecasting
  • Assists in the identification of risks and the management their appropriate response and strategies, escalating to leadership as appropriate
  • Provide status and progress reports on all aspects of the projects
  • Ensure quality-by-design in meeting all sponsor, corporate, and regulatory requirements
  • Assists in the maintenance of all project-essential (non-clinical) documentation in relation to the management of the projectsEssential Functions - PMO
    • Provide active engagement in continuous improvement of Project Management processes, methods, tools, documents and best practices, adding value to the business, meeting client expectations and developing the maturity of the PMO
      Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience
      • Incumbent typically will possess at least 2 years of experience in project management
      • Demonstrated resourcefulness in problem-solving and initiative to learn new skills
      • PMP certification strongly preferred, although commitment to acquire PMP certification will be considered
      • Experience with Smartsheet is a big plus
      • Effective leadership of teams through influence and negotiation
      • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
      • Excellent and effective communication skills
      • Ability to foster collaborative relationships, especially with external clients and partners
      • Ability to work with minimal supervision
      • Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and MS Project, being able to maintain the Work Breakdown
